1) Your body language should assure your interviewer that you are cool and confident.
Do not enter the room with the negative mindset. Being extra cautions would make you nervous. Think the interviewer is as kind as your gentle professor.
2) Listen carefully and then answer.
Don’t rush up with the answers even before the questions are uttered fully. You may also request for clarification on the questions if you really want. If you make the person feel that you are listening carefully the answer is half done.
3) Give answers following a top down approach.
Several times when the interviewer asks the person about their final year project, do not start with a detailed answer describing and every detail, the interviewer wouldn’t have that much time to listen to a long answer. So start with the objective of the project. If he awaits for more answers go ahead with the overview of the components involved in the project. You may go for a detailed answer only if he expects the same.
